"TA-BAO" KOPI
I'm not sure if anyone still orders "take-away" coffee in this manner.
Nowadays, people often used Styrofoam cups or clear plastic bags for their take-away coffee from the coffee shop. But this manner of "tabao-ing" coffee should be familiar. In the past, coffee shop tender used to sell the take-away coffee in this way. It’s well recognized that once people carry the tin can, it means they had "tabao" coffee from the coffee shop. Those were the days where Styrofoam cups were uncommon and coffee shop re-used the milk can to packet the take-away coffee/ tea for the customers. (It is also a way of making use the last bit of the milk in the tin can as well!!!) Somehow coffee served in this tin can taste better than in Styrofoam cups. This is, so, called the traditional coffee in milk tin cans!
Our design concept for "Ta-Bao" Kopi is actually pretty interesting. We make used of the recognition of the milk tin can as the packaging of our product. The method of buying coffee from our studio is somehow similiar in buying take-away coffee from the coffee shop in the olden days.
The tin can itself contains 4 packs of instant coffee powder, which one could DIY themselves when they need to drink coffee. Isn't it cool to have the olden style of drinking coffee while making your own coffee at home or in the office?
Not Only that, we had also come out with a series whereby one's could choose.
